The ABOUT A CHAIR BLACK EDITION is a shell chair with an organically shaped seat shell. The shell is fully upholstered and covered in gray fabric. Side panels serve as armrests and provide lateral support. The frame consists of four legs of dark, black-stained wood with visible grain.
The seat height is about 46 cm, and the overall height is 79 cm. The seat measures 59 cm in width and 52 cm in depth. This makes the chair suitable for conference tables, meeting tables and dining tables of standard height, around 75 cm.
The upholstery makes longer periods of sitting more comfortable than with hard-shell chairs. The armrests provide support when sitting down and standing up. The wooden frame is stable and bears the weight without visible struts; the four legs are sufficient.
