The Can is a cantilever chair with white quilted upholstery and a chrome-plated sled base. The seat and backrest are upholstered throughout, and the stitching divides the surfaces into even squares. The smooth cover can be wiped with a damp cloth. The chrome-plated round-tube frame forms the classic sled-base shape without rear legs.
The seat height of 48 cm suits standard tables measuring 72 to 76 cm in height. The overall height of 93 cm stays below the usual table edge. With a width of 50 cm and a depth of 59 cm, the chair requires little floor space and can be pushed close to the table.
The cantilever construction yields slightly when sitting down and flexes with the sitter. The sled base has no rear legs, so the floor behind the chair stays clear and the chair can be pulled up to the table without being moved. The chrome-plated frame is smooth and has no sharp edges.
