The DAW Eames Plastic Armchair combines a continuous black plastic shell with a four-legged frame made of light maple wood. The armrests flow seamlessly into the seat and provide side support. The shell sits on a metal mount that is bolted to the four angled wooden legs.
The black metal struts between the legs run in a cross pattern and brace the frame. The wooden legs taper toward the bottom and stand at a slight angle, which gives the chair stability and a recognizable design line. The shell is smooth and unupholstered.
The chair can be moved quickly and fits conference tables as well as lounge and catering areas. The armrests provide support when standing up and allow a relaxed seating position during longer events. The plastic shell is durable and can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
