The DAW Eames Plastic Armchair combines a continuously molded white plastic seat shell with a four-legged wooden frame. The shell forms the seat, backrest and armrests in one piece and provides lateral support. The frame consists of four angled legs of light maple wood, joined and braced in a cross pattern by black metal struts.
The combination of warm wood and a clean white shell gives a calm, unobtrusive appearance. The armrests allow relaxed seating over longer periods, and the shell's shape provides support without confining. The frame stands stably, and the angled leg position keeps it steady even under side loading.
