This table combines a solid tabletop of light lumber with two slim black metal frames. The wood surface shows pronounced grain, knotholes and signs of use – each tabletop is one of a kind. Each frame has a rounded foot plate, and the table stands stably on smooth floors.
The tabletop measures 180 cm in length and 80 cm in width, and the overall height is 75 cm. This corresponds to a typical table height for seating and suits chairs with seat heights around 45 cm. The depth of 80 cm provides room for place settings, documents or presentation materials on both sides.
The two separate frames make it possible to build the table without crossbars. This provides legroom from all sides and makes it easier to pull chairs in. The flat foot plates distribute the weight and protect the floor surface. The table can be disassembled; the tabletop is placed on the frames.
