The Tolix A Chair is a stacking chair made from a single piece of sheet steel. The seat and backrest are formed from one piece, and the backrest tapers toward the top and is recessed in the center. The seat surface is slightly curved and has three ventilation holes. Four tapered legs provide stability, and the paint protects the metal from weather and abrasion.
The 44 cm width allows the chair to be used at tables with a depth of 60 cm or more without the backrest hitting the table. The overall height of 85 cm suits standard tables with a height of 72 to 76 cm. The seat height is approximately 45 cm, a common dimension for conference and hospitality seating. The chair is light enough to move without tools, and its smooth surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
The chair is stackable. This saves storage space and transport volume and allows larger quantities to be kept on hand in a small area. The metal construction is resistant to moisture, temperature changes and mechanical stress, properties that matter in event operations, where furniture is frequently moved, cleaned and used under changing conditions.
