This side table consists of an open cube-shaped frame made of thin steel tubes and a flat tray with a raised edge. The frame is welded at right angles, and all parts are painted black. The construction looks delicate and understated.
With a 40 × 40 cm footprint and a height of 44 cm, the table fits beside seating groups, next to a sofa, or beside a bed. The height is just below the typical seat height of an armchair and allows glasses and plates to be set down conveniently. Thanks to the raised edge, the tray provides secure support for dishes and glasses.
The tray can be removed from the frame and used as a serving tray. After the event, it is set back on the frame. This construction makes transport easier and makes the table versatile: as a fixed side table and as a mobile serving station.
