The DSW is a shell chair with a one-piece plastic seat shell in bold red-orange. The shell is organically shaped, extends upward at the back, and has no upholstery. The frame consists of four black wooden legs connected by black metal struts in a characteristic cross structure, a construction that combines stability with a slim look.
The overall height of 83 cm and the width of 47 cm match the dimensions of a classic conference chair. The shell provides support for the back and seat without requiring additional padding. The legs angle outward, giving the chair a stable footing.
The smooth plastic surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The metal struts are visibly screwed in place and hold the legs in position. The design allows several chairs to be placed side by side without the legs getting in the way.
