The DSW Eames Plastic Chair combines an organically shaped plastic shell with a wooden frame. The black seat shell has a smooth, seamless finish, and the four legs angle outward and are made of light natural wood. A black X-shaped wire brace runs between the seat and the legs. It stiffens the frame and gives the chair its characteristic appearance.
The organic shape of the seat shell provides support without upholstery. The angled legs give the chair a stable base, and the wire brace absorbs lateral forces. The wood keeps its natural color and forms a warm contrast to the black shell.
The chair is quick to move and suitable for seating in larger quantities. The smooth surface of the shell is durable and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The combination of plastic and wood keeps the chair light enough for frequent setup and teardown.
