This insert is a round stainless steel container that is placed in Code 1688 chafing dishes. The smooth, seamless surface makes cleaning easier after use. The container has no handles of its own. It is placed into the warming system and held in place there.
Dimensions and capacity are not available. The insert is matched to the Chafing Dish Code 1688 and fits its holder. The wall thickness and flanged rim provide dimensional stability when filling and removing the insert.
The insert is suitable for sauces, dips and small side dishes that need to be kept warm. It is placed into the water bath of the chafing dish and keeps the contents at serving temperature for an extended period. After use, the container can be removed and cleaned separately.
