The DSW is a shell chair with a white plastic shell and a black wood frame. The organically shaped seat shell sits on four wooden legs, which are connected by a visible black metal wire mesh. The construction follows the Eiffel Tower principle: diagonal braces distribute the load and keep the frame stable.
The overall height of 83 cm corresponds to the usual seat height for dining tables and conference tables. The width of 47 cm and the depth of 55 cm provide ample seating area without taking up much space. The chair stays under the table edge and can be pushed in fully.
The open metal construction makes the chair lightweight and easy to handle. Several chairs can be stacked to save space. The smooth plastic surface is low-maintenance and can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
