The Varithek Ceran Warming Plate is an electric warming unit with a black glass-ceramic surface. The silver-gray metal frame surrounds the smooth, seamless heating surface. A small indicator light shows that the unit is operating. The unit connects to 230 V through a cable routed out the side, with a Schuko plug.
The glass-ceramic surface distributes heat evenly and keeps food at serving temperature without cooking it further. The smooth surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth after use. The unit operates without an open flame or hot metal plates, which reduces the risk of burns at the buffet.
The warming plate is suited for use in serving counters, on buffet tables and at catering stations. It keeps pots, bowls and platters warm without requiring a separate fuel paste or chafing dish. Its flat design allows the unit to be built into a counter or placed freestanding on a work surface.
