The DSW Eames Plastic Chair combines an organically shaped plastic seat shell with a four-legged wood frame. The seat shell is mauve-gray and tapers slightly to a point toward the back. A visible wire structure of black metal runs between the shell and the legs and serves as the load-bearing connection. The four legs of light maple wood angle outward and give the chair a stable, slightly curved silhouette.
The organic shape of the seat shell provides support for the back and thighs. The angled legs ensure a secure stance, including on smooth floors. The wood frame remains visible and contributes to a warm look, while the wire structure gives the overall piece a technical touch.
The chair is light enough to move quickly and sturdy enough for continuous use at events. The plastic seat shell can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The combination of wood, metal and plastic holds up well to changing users and frequent transport.
